Building a Better World means committing to continuous improvement and investing in safer, greener products and processes that benefit our customers, end users and the environment.
As a global company, RPM is committed to creating lasting value for customers through innovative solutions, while thoughtfully adopting sustainable approaches in the utilization of human and natural resources. Our sustainability journey springs from our core values and comprises a more formal focus on our internal Footprint and an outward look on our Handprint - the impact of our products, services and processes on the environment.
We are particularly proud of the many RPM products, services and processes that drive sustainability by helping customers reduce their environmental impact. As we look to shape the future responsibly, we are integrating Blueprint concepts, rethinking business models, and collaborating with leading edge partners to continually improve our impact.
As part of our MAP to Growth program, we have made meaningful improvement in reducing our footprint in connection with the closure of 28 locations and moving operations to more efficient locations with improved cycle time, more efficient operations and higher productivity. We will continue to lighten our footprint by incorporating our MS-186 continuous improvement initiatives throughout our operations with the goal of reducing relative water usage, energy usage and CO2 emissions and non-recycled waste.
We began to formally collect relevant environmental data on our internal utilization of resources and impact on climate. The Table shown includes Energy and Water usage as well as Emissions and Waste generation data. RPM’s information is provided in Intensity on a per ton of production and in Total because we believe considering both is critical to communicating transparently to stakeholders.
*Data above is comprised of actual and estimated data for our various locations and company vehicles. Estimates and assumptions used include internal data and external data from third-party providers and use factors believed to be reasonable under the circumstances.
