As part of their RISE program, Tremco and Weatherproofing Technologies (WTI) has partnered with The University of Akron to facilitate education for associates who wish to work towards either an associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management.
WTI has an Apprenticeship Program, which is an accredited US Department of Labor sanctioned program, available to anyone. The program is a nationally accredited, best in class training platform to address the skills gaps and labor shortage issues.
Apprentices can earn an Apprentice Completion Certificate (journey-level recognition) upon completion of the program with periodic hourly rate increases throughout.
Participants can also earn credit hours toward an Associate of Science degree, or toward a degree-seeking, construction-focused track. It includes On the Job Training (OJT) work instruction and both online and classroom instruction.
With executive-level support, Women@Rust-Oleum carries out its mission to invest in women within the company by providing them with tools and support to grow their careers.
Tremco is working with the Departments of Corrections in various states making an effort to reach diverse candidates beyond traditional recruitment strategies, removing GED requirements for hourly workers. Inmates are trained prior to release and are assigned a mentor to aid in re-entry to society when they are released, aiding in crime prevention.
Tremco has partnered with SkillsUSA, a partnership of high school students, teachers and industry working together to ensure that America has a skilled workforce.
Tremco Sales reps focus on getting involved in their local school districts targeting High School students and fostering interest in the program.
As an official business partner, WTI and Tremco Roofing will have access to a national recruiting platform and, as the only SkillsUSA roofing partner, the ability to introduce thousands of schools and their students to rewarding career paths in roofing management.
We are in the midst of a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion study and expect to be complete this year. The purpose of the study is to help the Company identify processes and areas in which we can focus to make meaningful impact on DEI.
