This program incentivizes facilities to adopt energy-efficient processes and technologies, streamline operations and prioritize sustainability. As part of our facility design, equipment purchases and modernization efforts, we assess both energy consumption and energy sources to drive operational improvements and cut emissions.
Our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) leadership plays a central role in guiding the development of sustainable, efficient operations. These efforts include a variety of initiatives, such as retrofitting lighting at plants and distribution centers with energy-efficient LED alternatives.
We evaluate the effectiveness of our EHS protocols and identify opportunities for improvement through a robust third-party audit program.

These audits provide actionable insights for local managers, helping strengthen EHS and product stewardship outcomes while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, RPM standards and industry best practices.
Climate change and the evolving energy landscape require us to consider and adopt more resilient and sustainable operating practices. As part of MS-168, we have made improvements to our facilities to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and use of energy, waste and water.
A few examples of our operational changes include:
RPM opened a new manufacturing facility in Mumbai, India, featuring energy-efficient technologies, rainwater harvesting, wastewater treatment capabilities and automated cleaning systems that help optimize resource use while supporting future growth.
Fibergrate's Mexico facility generated more than 801,500 kWh of electricity through its on-site solar panel system, reducing reliance on grid power, lowering its environmental footprint and delivering approximately $132,000 in annual energy cost savings.
RPM Platform APAC's facility in Serendah, Malaysia, incorporates sustainability-focused design features, including a rooftop garden, rainwater harvesting system, recycled-content flooring and electric forklifts to reduce resource consumption and on-site emissions.
